Channels not available on Maxit TV

Hi,

In the last hour, I've switched my V6 box on for the first time (it arrived yesterday) and noticed that a lot of my channels are showing as "This Channel is not part of your cable package".

I have Maxit TV (just checked the My Virgin Media site and looked at my account) and so should be getting a lot of channels. The following are greyed out:

102, 105-122, 124-131, 135-143, 146-153, 155-166,169-170, 174-180, 184-194, 196-197, 199-207, 211-213, 216-220, 226-247, 265-269, 273, 274, 276-286, 289-290, 292-293, 310-335, 337, 344-348, and all my BT Sport channels.

That's quite a big list of missing channels, I'm sure you'll agree!

I have installed it myself, checked that the cables are firmly in place, done a speed check and got the green thumbs up and the channels that I DO have are streaming just fine. 

Any body else have this problem? I'm sure it's just config but best to check

Do you have a 7400 error code?

Did you make the activation call?

The manual for the V6 boxes is incorrect, it suggests that the boxes automatically activate. they don't, you need to call the number and go through the options to get the activation signal sent

Hi, 

thanks for the quick reply.

I didn’t see an error message but I must have completely missed the instructions about an activation call. I’ve now done that and asked for the activation signal to be sent.
