If you're having to repeatedly reset your box to restore service, then there's clearly an underlying fault that needs dealing with. Is this picture breakup happening on all channels, or just particular ones?
Picture breakup is nearly always indicative of a signal issue somewhere - which will likely only be resolved by VM investigating and fixing the underlying issue. Could be a box issue, could be a cabling fault - VM can tell.
