I have not used the Tivo for some time and am now getting the 'channel not authorised' message as other users have reported.
I've tried calling for help on 150 but apparently waiting times are extremely long. Is there any way this can be sorted online?
Is this a TiVo or a V6? You've referred to both... check here if you're not sure
As mickysays, how long is "some time" that you've not used it for... if it's longer than a month, it could have been deactivated.
Do you have any on-screen error messages or codes?
