Can't access Apps & Games on TV

I have a new V6 box and am unable to open any apps on my TV. When I select eg Netflix or iPlayer the screen says One moment and then goes momentarily black and then returns to the screen showing all the apps. I am new to Virgin. Please help!

When you say "new" box, how new - is this within the past couple of days?

Can you view OnDemand programmes at all? That's a good test of your box's internet connection.

Yes, set up on Saturday evening.

I haven't tried viewing On Demand programmes. I tried again with the apps this morning and I was briefly able to get onto Netflix once but not onto iPlayer or ITV Hub and then when I tried Netflix again it failed.

Should I maybe restart everything??

Try a restart, also try watching a programme from OnDemand to see if that works.

Also, are you viewing on a 4K UHD TV?

My TV is quite old so no. Is it necessary?

Rather a late response apologies. Just to let you know what happened, I switched everything on and off again and then entirely lost the internet connection. Eventually I discovered the reset hole on the back which I then did and that worked. It all seems normal now.
