Can not connect coax lead

Hi

i was sent a quick install pack for my new hub and V6 box. Fitted the coax lead in hun all ok but the coax lead doesn’t fit in the V6 box. On hold to virgin media who have said I have to wait for an engineer to come out to me to sort it as they do not send out the leads! Sorry but the whole point of me ordering the quick install was so I didn’t have to wait in for an engineer. Anyone else have this problem???

Re: Can not connect coax lead

There should be a short white connecting cable to convert the co-ax to the connection required for the V6.

This is often overlooked in the packaging so check it all very carefully. This cable is explained in the documentation.

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Re: Can not connect coax lead

Hi thanks for reply

no I emptied the box there is nothing in there. I rang them and they didn’t even offer this adapter to me. I have to wait in now for an engineer to come. Which is massively inconvenient hence requesting the QUICK install box

Re: Can not connect coax lead

Double-check the packaging for the IEC connector which is a bit longer than a biro and looks like this.

Re: Can not connect coax lead

Hi Kbeev84, thanks for your post.

It's odd that your Quickstart kit didn't contain all of the required leads - apologies for any inconvenience & frustration caused.

Has a visit now been arranged to get this sorted? Please keep us posted.

Tom

Hi

i have been given a time and date but I told the manager I spoke to that I was out all day and go away next week. I then got told to buy a lead myself!!! Very rude

Re: Can not connect coax lead

Thank you very much but a lovely technician from virgin media came this morning and sorted it for me. He was appalled that I didn’t have the adapter in the box but also I had no Ethernet cable sent either! Lucky he cane out coz he set the TiVo box up perfectly for me.

Thanks for all all your help guys

Re: Can not connect coax lead

If it’s not sorted by now, you can also use a IECF-FF plug 93BFC02F-9C16-40C2-A5F2-82030B83ABC4.jpeg
