Burning smell followed by freezing when watching v6 box.

Hiya,

just reporting a fault on the V6 box that we've noticed over the last 2 to 3 days, it appears to start with a slight burning smell which you can pinpoint to the back middle of the v6 box , which is hot to touch and at this point it appears to freeze no matter if it's something say on playback or live TV.

We've been making sure we full power off the device rather than just popping it into standby mode when ever its not in use, Once powered back on when its cool the box itself seems to operate normally again for a few hours before the problem re occurs.

Kind Regards

Wayne

Call it in as a fault and safety issue, the UK call center is still open and people are reporting on here getting through ok.

Re: Burning smell followed by freezing when watching v6 box.

Hi for future use its not good practice to switch these type of things off at the mains as they are getting updates all the time, software updates the TV guides etc which mostly takes place in the early hours of the morning, also make sure the box is properly ventilated. Regards Micky
