When watching virgin tv or a recorded program it is very blurry and pixilated? The TV is brand new 55 inch with HD and I had virgin installed 2 months ago when I moved into my new home

Pixellating pictures are normally symptomatic of a signal fault which needs rectifying by VM. Reboot your box once and if it continues, call and report it.
Blurring pictures could easily be a TV setting, or even a non-HD channel that has been upscaled too much and the poor quality can't be helped.
Is this happening on any specific channels? And what're your video output settings - Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Video output
