When we switch on our V6 box we get a blue screen and nothing happens. We have to switch off the box and then turn it on again which then, usually solves the problem. It is very frustrating that this now happens all the time.

A plain blue-screen, or a blue-tinted screen?
Possibly an HDMI issue. Have you tried another cable or swapped the TV port it connects to?
