Black screen with sound (tv and apps)

I have a TiVo v6 box and it has started to lose the picture (just see a black screen). I still get sound.

This is happening intermittently when I turn on the tv but once it’s happened it requires a reset of the TiVo box in order to fix it. I am having to do this at least once a day at the moment.

I am regularly seeing the issue with normal TV and often also on apps like iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

After reading some posts here I have tried a new HDMI Cable (ultra fast), a different port on the TV, setting the TIVo video output to also have 1080p selected (tv is Samsung 4K). None of these have worked, I still regularly get the blank screen when I turn on the TV. This actually happened on first install but after a few hours I tried it again and it has been mostly ok for a year. Now it’s happening every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

Definitely contemplating moving back to Sky.

Any other suggestions?

 Hi if you go into the TV’s settings menu, then go to Broadcasting → Autotuning and turn off Autotuning.

On a Samsung TV, go to Picture → Expert Settings  and disable “HDMI UHD Colour

Also try a firmware update on TV

Hi thanks for your response.

When I go to Settings>Broadcastsing all settings are greyed out so I cannot change the auto tuning setting.

When I go to Settings>Picture>Expert Settings there is no option for “HDMI UHD Colour” so I cannot disable that either.

I ran the system update but it said I had the latest version (v1356)

Still stuck I’m afraid
