Black outs

Getting repeated “blackouts” where the screen just blacks out for a few seconds with no visual or audio either. I’ve restarted the TiVo box and still getting the same result. The tv works fine on  freeview ... help !!

Re: Black outs

Hi as you have posted on the V6 section I assume that you have a V6 in which case I'm guessing it's an HDMI problem you ether don't have one of the right specification or it's faulty also try a different port on the TV.Regards Micky

Re: Black outs

Thanks Micky, I’ve ordered a new cable arriving today, I hope that cures the problem

Re: Black outs

The blanking out is usually caused by the tv shortly loosing HDCP communication with the device. This happens on Sky as well as VM but it isn't clear whether the set-top-box, the tv, the cable is the fault - it can sometimes be caused by a different device you are not tuned to.

Posting model number of the tv along with the firmware version may be help.
