Being kicked out of recording and box goes to standby

While watching recorded programmes part way through it stops, kick me out and box goes into standby. I then have to fast forward the programme to get back to where I was. Not to bad if watching a half hour programme but so much a pain when half way through a film. Tried reset box(es) and reboot hub but still have problem. Not on every recording but on more than not. Especially if I record on one and later watch on my other box. Any advice?

Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear that you've been having issues with on-demand services. Is this still happening now? We can check for you using the service status page here virg.in/service

Can you also confirm how the box is connected to the network if it's by Ethernet or WIFI?

Also is the V6 on power saving or low power mode?  You can check by doing this:

  1. Press Home on your remote
  2. Select Help & Settings
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Devices
  5. Select Power Saving Settings

Yes still happening. Both boxes connected via ethernet leads and neither is in power save mode.

Also each time I go to check statue and run check test it says it isn't working that there is a problem with the page.

Is this happening on one or both boxes? And can you clarify, does this shutting down only happen on recordings?

Yes both boxes and just recording, normally when record on one and play back on other.
