I guess I wasn't aware that VOD was received via WiFi, and now get that it was probably WiFi outage rather than the cable service. Would hard wiring the V6 box to a powerline adapter with an ethernet cable be recommended to solve the issue?
All VOD & streaming uses the internet, and your V6 relies on your homehub for an internet connection. So it's how your V6 connects to the homehub - in exactly the same way as how your laptop and other devices connect.
If you're able to try a wired connection, it's certainly the recommended method and eliminates the extra variables that wireless introduces.
