1080p passthrough

Hi

My Sony bravia 32inch tv is 1080p. My V6 automatically selected 1080p. It didn't select 1080p pass through 🤔. Does anyone know what 1080p pass through is for? 🤔 Is it for youtube & amazon prime?

Re: 1080p passthrough

Hi those settings are to make sure the images from your V6 to the TV are in the right format, YouTube etc don't need separate video settings, if your images are all okay then you don't have to worry, if its saying your box is automatically set to 1080p just click on keep automatic settings. Re: 1080p passthrough

HI LittleMick

I've got 1080p & 1080p pass through both ticked.

My 1080p Sony bravia seems to have a clearer & better picture with them both ticked 🙂

Re: 1080p passthrough

Those settings are fine.

1080P tells the V6 to upscale all material from either the linear channels or apps to 1080P, your TV’s best.

1080P passthru tells V6 to pass anything already 1080P, from apps, directly to your TV.
