why does TV360 not rewind a few seconds after fast forward

Just changed from V6 TiVo to TV360.  With the V6 TiVo if you fast forward a recording on 2x or 3x speed and then press play, the recording would automatically rollback a few seconds. This is a big help when you want to skip past something and the rollback would account for the reaction delay between seeing the playback point and actually pressing the play button.  It’s only a minor issue I know but this function doesn’t work on TV360 and it’s really annoying.
Is this likely to be addressed on a future software upgrade?

I hope so as this is such a backward upgrade.

Re: why does TV360 not rewind a few seconds after fast forward

I believe that the 'Skip Back' after fast forward is a feature TiVo came up with, so they'd have to licence for anyone else to use.

As far as I'm aware they've not offered it to any other company yet.

Re: why does TV360 not rewind a few seconds after fast forward

I initially missed this functionality when I took delivery of the 360 box in September, but I soon switched to using the skip forward 30 secs and back 10 secs options (using the directional buttons). Perhaps worth a try?

Re: why does TV360 not rewind a few seconds after fast forward

I have found that saying 'skip forward four minutes' almost always takes me fast-forward from the beginning to the end of a commercial break - and only one button to push.
