wall box to 360 coax cable

Recently joined virgin. Was told 360 box and router could be in separate rooms, but the provided cabling meant they had to be next to each other. Am now trying to get hold of the right coax cable between wallbox and the 360 box. Customer services said 'google it'. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: wall box to 360 coax cable

you can't install or change the cable yourself. you need to get VM to do it.

If the coax port was not in the right place you should of had a manned install
To modify it later may cost £99

wallbox coax cable

how can I get a replacement coax cable (wallbox to 360 TV box)? Customer services said they don't provide them, and to google it ! (tried that, and found 1000s of different connector types).

Re: wallbox coax cable

You need F pin to F pin cable as you should  already have a short female F pin to coax provided by VM that connects to the box. If no cable then its F pin to coax

Re: wallbox coax cable

other then the contract.

If you modify the cabling save a few £1000's for if they charge you for any noise ingress

Now I've read your initial circumstances.

You should request a VM engineer who will extend the wall point to the appropriate location. When I upgraded to multi room they came out split my downstairs box , threaded a very long cable around the house from the front to the bedroom at the back of the house and created a second wall box in that bedroom for the second v6 box.

You should not have to do such an install yourself.
