my virgin 360 remote was working fine now suddenly it won’t control volume or hdmi output, so I am guessing it has somehow un-synced from the tv. I have tried to follow advice on here such as checking the audio output settings and resetting the remote but nothing working. it is a new samsung tv but i am not sure of the name. any help at all appreciated! thank you. 🙂
Assuming it also doesn't turn the TV off when pressing the white TV power button have you tried removing the batteries to reset the remote, you could also try some new batteries.
Just out of curiosity is it a 2 battery or 4 battery version remote, 4 battery is backlit when moved but you have to be quick to spot it.
Also do you have a soundbar connected.
Have you tried rebooting the 360?
You could also try a factory reset of the box just select the option to keep your recordings, this fixes some silly faults between the remote and 360 box, you will need to sign in again to your apps.
