hi
At the moment i am having issues with the mini box with this service.
Is that it cannot communicate with the main box and start a new recording to that box eg
I have the main box wireless against my wifi6 router
And the mini box by fully wired into my 24 port switch connected to my router.
Any answers for this

After the vm called at my house today.
The original box was faulty and needed replacing
Nothing to with the software but a hardware problem with the 📦

TiVo is fundamentally different to TV360 in the same way as Android is different to Apple - so I presume you have 2 x TV360 boxes, one is a master with the HDD and the half-height version is the mini.
The master box needs to be set to Quick Start or Active Start for recordings set on the mini to properly function.

while speaking to them "VM Staff.
"both of them were on" V360 box and Mini box, they said there was a server fault.

Hello tecky7
Sorry to hear of the TV360 issues, we appreciate you raising this via the forums.
Have you been able to follow the advice and settings changes offered by japitts to see if this resolves the issue? We also have help here for TV360 issues.

As a programmer and engineer at the University of Bolton
After 4 days of he'll with the mini box in the bedroom still crashes on a re-kick. (Reboot)
You can delete the recording from the main box 📦 but you cannot communicate with the main box as it still state recording function is disabled.
Hope this helps

The 360 boxes both need to be connected to VM DNS servers.
Also they only work on IPv4, so if your own router is set to IPv6 you will need to change it to IPv4, or create a VLAN just for the 360 boxes.

I recicked (Rebooted) the mini 📦 today.
The main box was on all night connected to my wifi6 router (wireless) and the mini box still connected to the a 8 ports switch
With no effect the recording function still has an outage after 5 days
As long the MAC address is registered on the router on both v360 devices. That all matters when communicating with them together.

Hi again @tecky7
In message one you say, "the mini box by fully wired into my 24 port switch connected to my router."
Yet in message 7. "the mini box still connected to the a 8 ports switch"
So, is the mini box connected to an 8 port or 24 port switch.
Does the mini box recording function work if you remove the "nn" port switch from the equation?
What happens if you try to connect the mini box via wifi?
Does the mini box recording function allow you to set up recordings if you switch boxes around?
Is the master box set to Quick Start or Active Start as advised by japitts?

I spoke to the VM tech team thus morning. They verify there is a issue with mini-box and they will sort it out in the near future.
