recording on a v6 and 360 box

I received a new 360 box and converted my existing v6 box but cannot now record on either.

Is the new 360 a mini or a master box? The mini is half the height of the master due to no hard drive - meaning all the recording is done on the master, and the mini just streams.

What happens when you try setting a recording on either of your 360 boxes?
