Woes of Upgrading to 360

I so wish I hadn't upgraded to 360.

1. Can't unpair remote sound settings / remove sound controls - as it stands, I cannot get sound through my soundbar

2. Can't undelete recordings

Overall, 'shiny' new remotes with voice input vs a perfectly working system.

Over the last 24 hours spent over 5 hours (mostly waiting time) talking to a 10+ individuals at Virgin. No one can answer my question about Point 1.

Anyone help ?

Re: Woes of Upgrading to 360

I can't help with point 1, others who use the V360 may be able to, but...

The ability to undelete recordings is not currently part of the 360 software, and it's been discussed on here many times. I'm sure it's on the to-do list, and will likely be added in due course.

Re: Woes of Upgrading to 360

Hi, thanks for the reply.

It seems a shame (and very weird) for an upgrade to downgrade functionality ! It seems that this release was rushed.

Re: Woes of Upgrading to 360

The whole system is downgrade now - I wish I stayed with TiVo because I would of remained a Virgin Media customer, the fact you couldn't upgrade back to TiVo was a sad moment.

Re: Woes of Upgrading to 360

Can you uninstall the ‘upgrade’ to 360 and the mini 360 and go back to V6 and TiVo ? ( which we were quite happy with )

The short answer is no.

The long answer is that a couple of people on here have managed to revert from V360 to TiVo, but it's not without a LOT of persistence, and a quite heavy-duty "ok" from VM that won't be given without some serious justification - and I don't mean just posting "I'm not happy" on here.

For all intents & purposes, a migration to V360 is a one-way trip.

Re: 360

Sadly no.  At least not without some pretty heavy-duty insistence on the phone and even then, maybe no.

Re: Woes of Upgrading to 360

Thankyou

I might see if they’ll just take the mini 360 back as the tv box was fine and the WiFi signal is not great in that room
