I have a 360 box and on rare occasions I get glitching but it's fine. On the self diagnostics I have signal strength as good. Does excellent exist or is this the highest one?

No, there isn’t an excellent. Good is normally 60% plus. However, a “good” signal can still have issues as:
1) The signal level can go too high & overload the tuner.
2) RF Noise. This can be from deteriorating, badly installed or customer DIY cable jobs that are interfering with the network.
So what you want is signal above 60% & low noise levels. On most Freeview & Satellite boxes this is shown as an additional Signal Quality measurement. However, as setting levels & dealing with SNR issues is only done by VM network techs using their own specialist kit, this measurement has little value on cable TV boxes.

I seem to remember on Sky they had both signal strength and quality. In NW London you should see the state of wiring, cabinet doors are left open. Junction boxes are left dangling, multitude of illegal HMOs with dodgy wiring. Cabinets at bursting point, no wonder people complain about their BB.
