‘Watch next’

Apologies if this has been covered previously…..
when watching an episode which is part of a series, near the end of the episode I get a message asking me if I want to watch the next one, if I do nothing the next episode starts - usually before the the previous one has ended!
what a bizarre “feature”. How is this useful?
can I turn it off?
tbh, I’m struggling to find anything at all that TV360 is an improvement on a V6 box.

Re: ‘Watch next’

Sorry it's not a useless feature, it just doesn't work correctly, once they sort it out you will think otherwise.

Re: ‘Watch next’

Why? What possible use is it?
if you want to watch the next episode just go to the next one yourself.

Re: ‘Watch next’

Hi @Noggin1966 and anyone else who may have the same issue,

So we can look into this further, can you reply back and let us know of the following details:

  • What kind of content are they trying to watch? On demand or recordings?
  • Does this happen on all shows/any other shows they are trying to watch?
  • How early does it stop on the current episode? (i.e. when does it skip to the next episode)

Thanks,

Lisa

Re: ‘Watch next’

Hi

it’s on recordings

I don’t really know how many shows as I rarely record whole series, but it happened when I watched the series recordings of ‘Motherland’ for example.
it that case it skipped to the next episode at least 60 seconds before the end.

ive no objection to the feature - if that’s what people want, but it needs to be able to be turned on or off ( like the similar Netflix version)

Re: ‘Watch next’

Hi Lisa_CC,

it happens on series recordings if you have the next episode recorded, box top right asks you do you want to watch next episode, Yes or No, more often than not you have to say 'No' because the episode you are watching hasn't quite finished. It probably depends on how far after the scheduled start time the programme actually started, if it started on time you probably get the message in the credits at the end, if it started a couple of minutes late you get the message before the programme has finished.

Next time I watch a recorded series I will see if it's always the same time before the end unless someone else lets you first.

Roy

Re: ‘Watch next’

Precisely my point Roy. It’s a fairly redundant feature. Even if it worked.
jyst need to be able to turn it off.
