Virgin tv 360 free upgrade

Tuning in

Hi

I had an email offering me a free upgrade to virgin tv 360 and I was wondering if it’s worth doing or is it just a rip off? Has anyone else had this that could help me please? I don’t want to do something that results in me paying yet more money cos I’m fed up of being ripped off.
Thanks all in advance

Em

Hi Em,

Some people (myself included) are very happy with the 360, but others miss some of the functions that are only available on the older Tivo and V6 boxes.

If you do decide to convert to the 360 then you can't go back to using the odler Tivo/V6 boxes.

The following thread lists some of the differences between the Tivo and Horizon (360) systems.

You might also find the following youtube video interesting (although the 360 has changes a bit since that video was posted.

TV360 is a fundamentally different TV system to TiVo/V6 - but which you have bears no relevance on your billing bundle which is a completely separate thing.

It's not an upgrade anymore than it's a downgrade - it's a bit like saying "here's your free upgrade from Android to iOS".

There are many differences between the two systems, and opinions vary wildly. Do your own research into the differences (plenty of past threads on here - use the forum search function) and decide if you want it or not, but once you have it, you can't go back.
