Virgin m50 and VTV 360

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone with the m50 (54mbps) package could tell me what speed they usually get

Secondly I was wondering if anyone with the Virgin TV 360 could tell me if it's any good- it's quite a new box and there aren't many reviews on it online.

Thanks in advance and I wish you a great evening 🙂

Re: Virgin m50 and VTV 360

You've posted in the TV section so I'll answer that part of the question. Perhaps post about the broadband query in the broadband forum - although I suspect the answers you get may not prove anything unless they're on the same network segment/headend as you.

As for the TV360 question - are you an existing VM TV customer using the TiVo/V6 platform? Or are you new to Virgin Media?

I only ask because if you're a new customer - then you don't get a choice about TV360, it's what you'll get. If you're an existing TiVo/V6 user considering whether to voluntarily convert, then there's many past posts on the same subject.. this one is as good as any

Re: Virgin m50 and VTV 360

The info below regarding broadband speeds and what to expect is taken from the following page

https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/speeds

M50

Download Speeds

Advertised Speed: 54 Mbps
Expected Speed Range: 52 - 54 Mbps
Minimum Guaranteed Download Speed: 27 Mbps

Upload Speeds
Advertised Speed: 5 Mbps
Expected Speed Range: 5 Mbps

Things that may affect broadband speeds

The actual speed you experience can be lower than estimated. Virgin Media speeds may be affected by things we can’t control – like the use of WiFi, the device you’re using, the wiring in your building and the number of users online accessing a particular website. Also, high usage, such as during major sporting events, at peak times may cause congestion.

I have two Virgin TV360 boxes  and am very happy with how they perform.

The https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-360 page explains a little on how they operate.

There's a customer You Tube video along with comments from other VM customers <<< here >>>

And this video shows some Irish Gogglebox users having fun with the TV 360 box

There's also a Virgin video << here on you tube >>>
