Virgin TV 360

Hi I’m really hoping someone can help me as I’m currently being given the run around. 

Today I received two 360 remotes and the quick start guide says I can go on to my existing boxes and upgrade them.

I have no such option and when I called Virgin, I was told I should have been sent two new boxes. However one of the advisors said the order on my account only relates to two remotes!

Can anyone help me as I spoke to 4 separate people and have got nowhere. I don’t know if I am due to receive new boxes or if the order has been messed up.

Hello

The current v360 upgrade that has been rolled out this week, you will only get two new remotes there should be an update to the  box will will be pushed sometime today and can happen after midnight, this is done to have the least amount of disruption to the customer.

I think I saw somewhere that the upgrade would be pushed out automatically around 5-6 days after order, presumably to allow enough time for delivery of the remote.

Thanks for such a quick response.

It’s been painful on the phone as none of the advisors seem to have been told correctly what’s happening.

The QuickStart guide that came with the remotes said I should have the option to upgrade from the start menu but as of yet, nothing. But your answer explains why.

hey Mikey

if you go into the apps menu can you see a Virgin TV 360 app?  

It should be red with a Virgin TV 360 logo...I'm hoping it will be the first app you can see in the top left hand corner!

Thank god I found this post. I thought I was going mad.....just wasted an hour of my life trying to work this out on my old box, 2 new remotes and a leaflet !!!

Not sure how you fixed it for Mikey - but I'm having the same problem.  Remotes were delivered as planned on Tuesday, but no "Upgrade to Virgin TV 360now" showing on the Home screen (and no app either)?

Virgin contacted me and they did an update remotely.

just bare with them and they will do the same for you.
