Hi, I have only recently heard about 360 and would like to have it. I have been talking to an advisor on the new what's app way of contacting virgin and they want to charge me £40. Is this correct no where on the website it says £40. I have recently taken out a new deal surely I should have been advised about the upgrade if it is given to new customers!
Thanks

Have you got new eq arriving £40 is an activation fee and a delivery charge. Depending on your eq if you have the old TiVo 500 that would be replace or if you are upgrading a hub or even adding another stb . Usually with the tv360 upgrade it’s usually £49.95 but they reduce it to 24.95 discounted that includes the remote controls

The first thing to point out is that V360 is not strictly an upgrade, it’s a migration to a totally different TV platform to TiVO. If you have one of the older TiVO 500Gb boxes you can upgrade to V6. TiVO V6 remains completely supported, although with a smaller number of apps. Migration to V360 is completely voluntary, & is NOT reversible. So if you don’t like the new features, or lack of the features that were TiVO exclusive to your old boxes, you are stuck with the new platform.

VM has been trying to get customers onto the 360 but is going about it in a strange way. For example I received an email on 4 January offering a free swap of my V6 for a 360, but this offer has expired.
Hello Roger,
You have some of our older TV equipment, which means you may not be getting the best TV experience; like our new service, Virgin TV 360.
It won’t cost you anything, we’ll just send you a new remote in the post and then complete a software update to your existing TV boxes. Virgin TV 360 will allow you to access features and apps (such as Disney+ if you are subscribed) that are not compatible with your current TV experience without any need to change your current package.
If you would like to switch to Virgin TV 360, go to virginmedia.com/offers/tv360service.
Thanks,
The Virgin Media team

@Roger_Gooner wrote:I had no intention of switching, just pointing out how strange it is to offer a free swap for a short period when it's the strategy to migrate all TiVos and V6s to the 360.
I'd like to know what "features are not compatible with my current TV experience".
