Virgin 360 Find my Remote

Hi All,

I have recently joined Virgin from Sky, its great but there is a function that I found handy with Sky and wondered if there was an option with these new virgin 360 remotes. Its the find my remote function. Usually you press something on the box and the remote starts bleeping. Really useful if you have kids that walk around the house and leave the remote in different places all the time.

I have looked online and I can only see that virgin did have this function with the old v6 remote, however when I tried to press the buttons on the box to activate the beeping sound on my Virgin 360 Remote, it doesn't seem to do anything. Can someone help?

It would be a really handy function and something that we are missing.

Press and hold the + button on the front of the 360 for about 10 seconds or until you hear the remote start to beep.

That doesn't seem to work. I can see online that it says that function works with the old rounder style remotes. But I cant find anywhere online to say that it works with the 360 remote/box. Its definitely not doing anything when I am pressing that button. 

Has anyone got a video of it working for them or anyone for that matter?

It definitely works on both of my 360 boxes

Is it something I have to activate? Can't find an option in settings or anything. But I've held both at the same time. Individually in a variety of states and nothing is making the remote beep.

It does work as per the instructions Here but if the batteries are flat or have fallen out if the remote has been dropped then it won't, another possibility is it's out of earshot.

If you have the TVGO app on your phone you can use that until you either find your remote or get a replacement.

Or use your TV's smart remote if it pairs to the 360.

Hi, thank you for trying to help. I however do have the controller in my hand. Its brand new, only had a week. I am just trying to get it to work. I have no idea how it is not working. Does the box have to be on or off? I've tried both. But best to get your status with it.

I've only ever tried using the find remote feature when the 360 box was on and it worked. Other than this is the remote working with the 360.

OK, so after a bit of comparison this weekend. I went to my mums house. She has virgin, she has had it for a while. However her remote was very slightly taller than mine. (It is a similar style) Hers also lights up when it moves. I'm wondering whether they have upgraded the remotes recently and not added the feature to the remote. Alternatively they've given me two mini box remotes. Rather than one of these slightly bigger remote for the main box downstairs?

Can people share, is theirs the smaller looking, non light up remote that makes the sound? Or is it one of the light up remotes that is making the sound for you?

If you click on any of the 3 options on this page you will see the different boxes with their remotes, the 360 and V6 look the same but have different software, the 360 mini box is half the height of the 360 main box but has the same remote.
