V6 Box has been migrated over to 360 and now the fan is very loud. How do I go about getting a replacement box?

Hi CraigAngus,
You can call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.
Another option is to wait for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.
Just make sure that the box is well ventilated and the underneath of the box is clear, that's where the fan is, I am sure it probably is but you will be asked.

There will be no charge for this visit unless:
• The technician diagnoses the faults as not being caused by our network/equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to your equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to any system that we are not responsible for
The technician will confirm during their visit if any of these instances apply, and if so, a £25 charge will be applied to your account.
Please ensure there is someone over the age of 18 present at the time of the visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can do this online or via the MyVM app by 4pm the day before the appointment.
If you do miss an agreed appointment for any reason, a £25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment

I didn’t know the V6 had a fan, but a loud noise from the box is usually due to a failing hard disk.

The V6 does have a fan and it seems that some V6 boxes when migrated to 360 the fan starts to run at a high speed.
