V360 upgrade but no HD now

Hello. First post. 

I have just upgraded from a TiVo and V6 to a V360 and V6 (which has upgraded to V360). The V6 used to record. Now both boxes say they can’t find a hard disk and therefore I can’t record. 

Have I been a muppet?  We’re all my recordings before actually happening via the TiVo box that I’ve removed?

What do I do now?

the software upgrade to 360 formats the hard drive. all the recordings are lost. they can;t be transfered

Thank you for your reply. I understood that. My issue is that both boxes now say they cannot find a hard disk, so I cannot record anything now. What I am concerned about is that when I was recording before the upgrade, the recordings were somehow happening on the old TiVo box, over my network, rather than on the v6 box. That seems really strange though.

Solved. I had to reboot the V6 box. Then it found the hard disk and both boxes can now record
