So the box starts the next episode often before the one we are watching has finished. It’s so annoying. I know it give us you 15seconds but we find ourselves scrambling for the remote and often miss it. Then you have to restart the last program and scroll through it. Which is another annoyance, since moving from the V6 to V360 we’ve lost the extra fast forward option. 
can we turn off the auto play function ?

Unfortunately you can't turn off the auto play option you just have to keep the remote handy. You would think it would be any easy option to add to the software to be able to have it on or off.

If you mean the Quick View option that speeded up and still played the sound then I believe that is TiVo owned and cannot be used on the 360.
