V360 box - standby or leave on?

I usually switch off the 360 box using the red standby button. I’ve noticed that the box more often than not takes quite a while to switch back on again, showing the VM logo for a good 30 seconds or so. I also noticed that the TV guide wasn’t showing the change to the channel 4 schedule to show the 1996 World Cup Final until a couple of minutes after it had been switched back on (sadly after the showing had finished!).

Does putting the v360 box on standby put it into a deeper sleep than the good old V6? Should I just leave it on to avoid missing TV guide updates and long wake up times. I never had these problems with the V6 box.

Which setting do you have for standby? Best is fast start.

Check:

HOME > Settings > System > Standby Power Consumption
