Upgraded to TV 360 with two V6 boxes. Only got one remote

You can either wait here for a member of the forum team to respond, usually takes 2-3 day's, or call 150 from your Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to ask for one which might be quicker.

Hi @rikimuk 

You should be able to downaload and use the TV Go app as a temporary remote until you actually receive one, however you might have to use the 360 remote that's working with the other box to set the second up first.

There are links to downlaod the TVGO app towards the bottom of <<< this page >>> 

This will be a little time consuming to do as each 360 remote pairs 1 to 1 with the box, it does not use infra-red (IR).

This means you can only use one remote with a box and not multiple.

You will need to factory reset the remote so you can pair it with the second 360 ( it might be a good idea to turn off the box it's already paired to whilst doing this)   Pressing and holding the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds will factory reset the TV 360 remote. 

You will probably need to start the 2nd box set up from scratch using the old V6 remote until prompted to change to the 360 remote

Then pair the 360 remote with the 2nd box by holding down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash.

Then continue to set the box up the same way you did with the currently working box.

 

Hopefully you now have a second working 360 box - now you'll need to decide if you want to  continue using the remote with the second box and just use the TVGO app with the original box till yuo receive the 2nd remote, or vica versa - remember it can only be paired and work with one box at a time, so it will need factory resetting again if you want to use it with the first box.

You do have other choices, which may or may not work  once you have the second box up and running - ---

The 360 is compatible with the Harmony Remote - set it up as a Ziggo Mediabox Next

You can use some third party remotes such as the OneForAll URC7125 - use the SimpleSet setup process and choose Ziggo manufacturer.

A number of TV remotes. such as my LG Smart remote can also be set up to control the 360. Some TV smatrt remotes actually work with Virgin as the manufacturer, others need either Ziggo, or Ziggo Media Box Next.

Thank you although the box arrived damaged and left on my doorstep even though I was in the house I have received two so thanks again all sorted
