I've just signed up for TV 360. I am an existing customer with three TiVo boxes. I forgot to ask how long it takes to process my upgrade.
How long does it usually take and what are members experiences of TV 360?

A search of past posts on this forum will reveal plenty of threads on this subject.
Opinions vary wildly, and it's very much a marmite thing. It's worthwhile doing your homework before requesting the conversion, because if you find certain TiVo-features are missing that you use, it's too late after you've asked to migrate.

Hi @fixerman
I'm not sure if it's still the case, but when the 360's where first introduced, if it was for 3 boxes then an engineer was required to set everything up due to having to make sure signal levels were correct. If an engineer is required he will bring the new remotes.
VM generally try to process regrades within 2 days, but in some cases it can take 5 days, however in may be slightly longer with an upgrade to 360 due to needing the new remotes. Delivery of the new remotes (if you don't need a tech visit) can delay the start of the process. Once the remotes are received you can update the boxes yourself . Updating the boxes can take between 10 and 20 minutes each. If you don't do anything then the boxes will automatically update to 360 around 5 days after you receive the remotes
You will need to make sure that you have watched all of your recordings as the hard drives will be wiped clean and recordings can't be transferred between boxes.
It would also be a good idea to set up list of your series links as they can't be transferred either. Rather than writing them down it may be easier to take photos of the series links.

Thank you for your very comprehensive response. I have already done my homework and am happy with the difference between the two boxes.
I'm a little concerned that despite being told that my new contract would follow by email to date I have heard nothing. On checking on "My Virginmedia" it still shows the old contract. I signed up for the TV 360 last Friday.

Having researchd as best I could I decided to call Customer Service to request an update to TV 360. It was my understanding that this would not mean a change in my monthly payment and could be done without having to increase my current arrangement of three V6 boxes, broadband and home phone. The Customer Service agent insisted that I would have to upgrade or take an extra service before I would be sent the three new remotes. After quite a long discussion I reluctantly agreed to sign up for an O2 mobile sim contract. I now have an 02 sim that I don't really need and I've not received an updated contract or any notification regarding the new remotes.
To make matters worse I cannot access my new 02 account as it has not been activated. I contacted 02 customer service and they are investigating.
I've tried calling VM customer service again but it means hanging infer an indefinite time before you get a response.
