TV 360 box

Hi

Can anyone from the Virgin Media Team confirm as to whether this new box is to become a free upgrade and available to all customers irrespective of what packages they are on.

Re: TV 360 box

In the future yes.

£24.99 if you want it now if you have a V6 box as they just send the updated software to your box and post you a new remote.

The 360 software is a HUGE improvement from TiVo, it takes a bit getting used to when you start to navigate your way through the menus.  The picture quality is superb and the system speed is incredibly fast.

The system boots up in 60 seconds whereas the old software took up to 7 minutes.

Once you upgrade you won't be able to go back, you would also lose all your recordings and planned recordings etc.

In my opinion its worth it.

Feel free to click on the thumbs up thingy and kudos thing. It really helps me to feel important and boosts my ego.
Seriously though, I'm happy to help.

Which TiVo box is it, you can find out here,

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-box

if its the V6 the answer is yes, if its the old Tivo then the answer is no.

Just to clarify, anyone with just a TiVo will be able to upgrade to 360 as long as they also have Virgin Fibre.

But it will need a new box to be sent out, and it's not something that Virgin Media are doing just yet for most customers.

Re: TV 360 box

Yes you are correct, I could only get an upgrade if I payed an extra £7-50 a month and £35 activation fee! But seeing as I have been customer for 23 years they would waive the activation fee,how kind of them!!!
