TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

My TV 360 is already appropriately/successfully configured to control my TV and sound bar.

However the TV 360 box seems to continually detect a new remote and shows an on screen alert offering to pair with the device.

This alert is a nuisance and inconvenience. Please can anyone tell me how I can disable this irritating "feature"?

Re: TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

Thanks for the reply. The TV-360 box is connected to a HD-Base-T HDMI matrix, and in the living room location goes into an audio extractor box which splits the signal to diigal audio for the soundbar (via TOS link cable) and HDMI to the TV.  My TV is quite old and doesn't support ARC.

Re: TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

What worked for me was a factory reset  keeping recordings

Then it asked again if I wanted to pair a remote   and asked for the soundboard make and model.    I did have to re sing in to prime and YouTube and netflix.  Could be worth a try.  Also there's a YouTube video of a easy way to pair remote.  This it's a new video from virgin

If you don't want it paird just use a random TV setting via the manual programing.

Re: TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

Hi @HaggleLad

Welcome to the forum page and thanks for posting this on here.

Sorry to hear you're having some issues but we can certainly look into this for you.

If you could follow @Swf advice as we usually do recommend a reset of the box, that would be fab.

Once you have followed all the advice, if the issue is still occurring we can then look into this further for you if that's okay.

Thanks

Re: TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

If you are performing a factory reset on the hub then they will not go, as well as a reboot.

If you are also just rebooting the actual TV box, then again it won't lost the recordings.

If you reset via the settings menu on the TV, then yes this will reset everything and all recording will be lost as well as series links.

Thanks

Re: TV 360: Disable Remote Pairing Suggestions

You are offered two choices when resetting the 360.

Settings > System> Factory Reset >

First option - Keep recordings - Select this one

This is not a complete factory reset so you won't lose your recordings, however you will need to sign into apps such as  Netflix, Prime, iPlayer and ITV Hub again.

Second Option - Format disk ( selecting this one will delete everything including recordings,  planned recordings and profiles)
