Hi @Albig

You will either have a TV360 set top box, or a  Stream box

They both work the same way, so I've moved your post from the broadband section to the TV360 section.

Do you also have a soundbar, and if so have you set that up?

If it's just sound through the TV then firstly factory reset the VM remote.

Pressing and holding the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds will factory reset the VM remote. You could also try removing the batteries and put them back in.

Now to pair the remote hold down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash. This should recognise the LG TV and connect automatically.

Following that if you need to pair the VM remote with the TV to control volume, source or power then press Home > Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > Press OK then  Change TV set-up LG >  and enter the device model number -

for example if it's an LG 55UP77006LB  then try entering the first four characters after the screen size UP77 or the final four characters 06LB, or 7700

if it's an LG 65UP81006LR  then try entering the first four characters after the screen size UP81 or the final four characters 06LR, or 8100

If that doesn't work then use the Start key testing method, but don't just pick the first one that appears to work, try a few more as some combinations works more fully than others.

Hi Albig, thanks for posting and welcome to our community.

Sorry to hear you've been unable to sync the remote to your TV set.  And sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused your household.  Have you had the opportunity to follow the advice of the fantastic newapollo? If so, how have things gone?

Regards

Have tried All the ideas that had been sent but still to no avail !

Hi again @Albig

Have you tried new batteries in the remote?

Admittedly you would expect the batteries to be fully charged, but I have had problems in the past with the remote and found that changing the batteries worked.

Hey Albig, thank you for reaching out and confirming this.

Have you gone onto the HDMI the Virgin Box is connected to, click settings and pair remote.

From here you will get a long, long list of various devices please can you click the Virgin Media option from here.

This should pair your remote, please can I just confirm the LG Magic Remote from 2021/ 2022 if may not work with any older models. Thanks

Hi Albig,

It might be easier to say which model number TV you have then if someone has the same model they can give you specific advice if required.

I have an LG TV and so does newapollo, I don't have any problems using the 360 remote to control the volume on either my TV or soundbar, also have the LG magic remote paired to the 360.

Roy

Edited to ask; Do you have a soundbar connected.

Hi it is an Lg oled 55A16LA bought last Christmas and no sound bar attached

thanks
