I’m so annoyed with virgin right now. I renewed my price for the Ultimate Volt bundle and I always had sky uhd on there. Now it has disappeared and is telling me to subscribe. Why?

when I call no one can help. They are useless. They say their systems don’t even have the option for sky uhd. Hello you offer it. So how is one supposed to watch it if they want to.

sort this out virgin im so angry right now spending 3 hours on the phone to about 5 people all passing me around and no one has a clue.

Hi @kashiup

The Sky UHD is now a chargeable extra @ £6 a month.

You do have 14 days cooling off to cancel the new deal and either revert back to your old contract and then either place your 30 days cancellation notice, or re-negotiate.

It may be a matter of semantics in that they can't find the Sky UHD as it's more commonly shown on the bills and contracts as Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment UHD

Info below from The Legal Stuff > TV sub-section on https://www.virginmedia.com/sitemap

Sky UHD: Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment UHD requires a V6 or Virgin TV 360 box and a 4K compatible TV/device with HDCP 2.2. Up to 4x the clarity of standard HD content: based on comparison of HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) versus UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels).

£6 a month for customers with Maxit TV packages (Fullhouse/ Bigger Bundle/ Ultimate Oomph/ Ultimate Volt). 30 days’ notice required to remove Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment UHD pick. Prices may increase at any time during the contract.

Hi

thanks for letting me know.
what annoys me when I take out the contract and they said it will all remain the same including the UHD as I specifically asked them the question about UHD and said it’s included but clearly it isn’t

So will have to cancel.

Hi again @kashiup

It probably isn't showing on there, but sign into My Virgin Media and double check your new  contract, just in case the Sky Sports & Cinema Ultra HD is listed, because if is trhen VM need to send the correct codes to your box.

Also you should have Standard netflix as part of the new Ultimate Volt package.

I would call back and threaten to cancel unless they add the Sky UHD as a free extra for the remainder of the new contract.

Some agents may be mixed up in thinking that because the Ultimate Volt bundle includes the Virgin Ultra HD (channel 228) and BT Sports Ultimate (channel 535)  and 4K via BBC iPlayer and Youtube, that all UHD content is included.   That's besides any other UHD content on apps that you might subscribe to and access via the VM set top box .

Hi thanks for the reply. It doesn’t seem to show it on the new contract now but Netflix does indeed show.

they actually never mentioned it to me on the phone that it wasn’t included when I took out the contract. They did say it is. So even they don’t know. But I guess this is virgin all over.

Hello kashiup.

Sorry to hear you are having an issue with Sky Cinema UHD going missing.
I'd like to take a look into this for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.
Regards
