Hi, I want to replace my Tivo box which I have had since 2012 with a TV360 and I am aware that a software upgrade is not possible and a new box is required. Virgin Chat said I need an engineer to install but when I called the support line, I was told this cannot be arranged at present. Any advice welcome. Ideally, i would like to receive the new box and install myself and return the old one.
At present, in-home visits from VM staff are being limited to fault-fix scenarios only, which yours is not.
I don't know what your reasons for wanting V360 are, but you might find that swapping to a V6 box - which runs TiVo software but on the same hardware as V360 - could potentially be done by Quick Start self-serve.
