Been a sky user for years and came over to Virgin.

I find the remote control very poor, clumsy, ie not very intuitive. You could scroll your fingers over a Sky remote and sort of know where you are for channel, volume - red buttons etc from the way it has been designed.

Virgins is impossible to use and seek features in the dark - is there a light for the buttons?

Anyone any recommendations - can I use other remotes? 

Virgin should look into this as I imagine for partial sight it would be nearly impossible to use.

Just a thought being a new user.

You can use some third party remotes such as the OneForAll URC7125 - use the SimpleSet setup process and choose Ziggo manufacturer

Also the Logitech Harmony remote.  You need to set them up as a "Ziggo Mediabox Next" 

You can also control the 360 by using the Virgin TV Go app.

Myself and other forum members have also been able to use their TV's Smart remote to control the 360.

MY LG pairs when I use Virgin or Ziggo, or Ziggo Mediabox Next as the device name. Others have used Samsung Smart remote etc. The TV remotes don't provide the voice function
