Recordings have disappeared!

Switched TV on last night to find that my recordings and scheduled recordings had disappeared.  I did the usual (switch off/back on) and even a factory re-set, but nothing.  I contacted Virgin Media and was constantly told that I must have Auto Delete set.  Can’t find this facility, but surely it wouldn’t delete every recording and any planned recordings?  I was then told that I must have used up all the space available (I only had a handful of programmes recorded) and that was as much help as I got.

Has anybody had or is having this problem?

there has been an update to version 4.26, I wonder if yours went a bit awary and have wiped everything
