I have series recordings on however the recording circle is not solid red it's just a red circle with nothing in the middle. Anyone know why? Or how to fix it?

If you are looking on the TV guide a full red circle is a programme recorded, a red circle is a planned recording.

Is it still recording and you are watching it at the same time, say what exactly is happening.
