with the v6 box I could manage my recording’s and also just find a program and set it to record new only. With this 360 I can’t find where this is and it seems I can only record new programs when I catch them on the tv, where as before the v6 box would do this for me.

When you press Record, select Advanced Options and New Episodes Only from the top line (Record). 

Virgin should think about making this the default option when recording and reduce the number of key presses needed to record a new programme. 

It takes 12 key presses to record new episodes only once you’ve highlighted the programme in the guide. With Sky, it’s one!
