Record option on TV GO app does not connect to TV360 box

When I try to use the record option on the TV GO app  to record a programme on the TV360 box it just displays the message "Failed. Ooops try again".   When I try again I just get the same message.   I have done a reboot on the box and a factory reset on the box - no difference.   I have removed the TV GO app off the mobile and then downloaded it again - no difference.   I have tried to record a programme using the app on a Samsung tablet and I get the same result.   It used to work on this box when it was a Tivo 6.

Virgin support team have provided no help.

Does anybody know the solution?

I found the Fast Start setting. It was set as active setting. I changed it to Fast Start and tried to record something and it still failed. Many thanks for your suggestion. Nick

I'm new to Virgin as well, and have 360 TV box, and can't get any remote recording to work from any device (other than when I set it using the remote and in front of the TV).

Hi

The TV360 are supposed to phone me during the next 48 hours starting on Friday 22nd January.   It's now 24th lunchtime - no call as yet.

I don't suppose I am going to get a call.   If I do and they solve the problem I will update this site.

Are the boxes connect to the hub via wifi or Ethernet 

Can you see them in the app on your mobile device  Setting>virgin tv boxes ?

 

Does it say remote recording and a tick next to each box?

Yep, can see both the 360 box and the mini box as well. It has 2 ticks for the 360 (Push to TV and Remote recording), and one for the mini (Push to TV)

The main box is connected via cable, and the mini is via Wifi.

Just tried it again...just says "Recording Failed. Oops - this isn't working right now. Please try again on a while". It's been saying this error since I got the equipment installed on the 14th Jan 2021.

Hi

 

The TV360 box is connected to Hub 3 router via ethernet cable.   The TVGO app shows all the channels available on the TV360 box.  It will play live tv channels - except BBC ones refers me to the iPlayer.   It shows programmes saved on the box but will not play them.   This app is very disappointing.
