Had exactly the same issue.

All recordings and planned recovered deleted, when I switched on the box today.  Also  ITV player, BBC I player all signed out.

Some have reported this as a sign the box is faulty.

Since reporting this, the box has saved recording and planned recordings. And BBC I player and other apps have stayed logged into.

Don't believe it is hardware issue all of a sudden that is affecting so many people (large number of reports online). Logic suggests a software update that has caused this problem.
