Pairing Remote To Marantz AV Amp

Hi, I'm trying to pair the 360 remote to my Marantz AV Amp.

When I go via the settings on the 360 box it shows both my Sony TV and the Marantz amp but fails to connect to the amp.

It also doesn't recognise putting in the amp.model.number.

Anyone able to resolve this at all ?

Hey @Cayman4,

Welcome back to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

What we would like to do is try a few things with your remote and box to begin with.

You can try resetting the remote and then set it up again.

Pressing and holding the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds will factory reset the TV 360 remote. You could also try removing the batteries and put them back in.

To pair the 360 remote, hold down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash.

If you need to pair the TV 360 remote with the TV to control volume, source or power then press Home > Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > Press OK then pair TV and follow the on screen instructions

You could also try a 360 factory reset
To factory reset go to Settings (the cog at the end of the Home menu) > System > Factory Reset. It's actually misnamed and only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options:

Keep Recordings
Format Disk

Choose Keep Recordings, that means you won't lose your recordings and any planned recordings or series links you've set up. You will have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITV Hub again. Also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption will go back to their default settings if you have changed them.

Let me know how this goes. Joe

I paired my V6 remote to my Marantz NR1711, can't remember which code number but I think it was one of these:

1006 1025 1028 1031 1040 1054 1063 1113 1185 1214 1247

Hi @Cayman4

I'm afrasd the codes provided by @Roger_Gooner only work on the older Tivo/V6 boxes  and not the 360 boxes which are based on the Horizon operating system and not Tivo.

However using the example model of Marantz NR1711, if Roger had a 360 he should be able to pair his AV amp by selecting Marantz as the Audio Device and then on the next screen entering either NR1711 or 1711 as the Device name.

You should also check under Settings > Audio & Video > Volume keys control that it is set to Marantz and not Sony TV. You need to press OK to switch between the two inputs there, and then the back button to come out from that menu, which will automatically save that choice.
