I’m trying to pair a 360 remote to a Linn DSM. Followed all instructions but nothing working. However the power button on the 360 remote will switch off the DSM, but not on! But mute and volume non responsive. Linn Paperwork suggests the handsets use the Remote codes developed by Philips, called the "RC5 protocol". But how does this translate? The TiVo V6 remote did control the DSM but volume only.
Any ideas?

Hi there taroger,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
Can I ask regarding this, during the set up are you experiencing any error messages?

Hi Kain,
No error messages were received. I cycled through 3 maybe 4 requests to hit OK and confirm if the volume had muted or not. On all occasions it did not mute. Next Page asked for model number. I entered KDSM. This followed with a message saying match found, please try volume. The volume did not work and took me to the final page that said the amplifier maybe to old to pair, or something along those lines.
But at no point did I get and error message. There is some communication due to the remote switching off the KDSM. Don't really need the mute to work as pause would be fine. However it would be good to work the volume to reduce the remote count.

Hi taroger, thanks for your reply and for letting us know.
Have you checked whether the Linn DSM is compatible with our 360 remote by any chance?
Also, is your box hard wired on router and connecting via the VM network but still having trouble to pair it up with our 360 remote?
Please, also have a read at the below to see if it helps:
How to control volume on AV devices using the Virgin TV Remote
If the Virgin TV box connected to external AV equipment you can programme the Virgin TV remote to control the volume on your equipment.
The simplest way to programme the Virgin TV remote to work with your AV device is by searching for the correct code.
If you reach the end of the code database, the light on top of the remote will give an extended red flash and exit programming mode.
If you think you’ve missed the code, you can work backwards through the code database by pressing the channel down button at any time.
Let us know how you get on, happy to best assist.

Hi Adri,
I looked into this before posting my initial message. I think these instructions relate to the V6 and earlier remotes because the 360 Remote doesn’t have a clear button.

Hi @taroger
You need to tap Home on the 360 remote.
Then select Settings > Audio & Visual > Pair Remote With Devices > Change audio setup.
Choose you audio system brand -in your case select Linn and then either start key testing or enter the first 4 characters of your device, following the onscreen instructions in either instance.
If you try the key testing method then don't just accept the first one that appears to work as often the first match isn't the best one.

Key testing method does not work. I tried this before making the post. The reason I posted is because all methods via the user interface have failed. I’ve assumed the first four characters of my device are KDSM. I’ve also tried KLIM but no joy.

Hey taroger, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community, I am sorry to see you can't pair your remote to your Linn.
We cant guarantee our equipment will work with 3rd party equipment products.
I would personally reach out to the manufacturer of Linn and ask them if they have a guide to see it it can be paired or not. Thanks

Hi Matt,
I have a Linn pairing code noted as 1124. The question is how do I enter this code into the 360 remote.
All instruction online for entering a code relate to the V6 and/or Tivo.

Hi again @taroger
Click Home on the 360 remote then Settings > Audio & Video > Pair Remote With Devices > Change audio setup.
Choose you audio system brand (Linn) and then click on Enter device model number and type in 1124
