One Power doesn't work for me

On my TiVo, I have One Power, where I am able to switch the TV and the VM Device off at the same time. The problem I have is that it works for a few days and then it doesn't. How can I make it work permanently? If I look in the System Settings, the One Power is showing as "On" and the TV is compatible.

Look forward to hearing the answers.

I get 'access denied' trying to see your image!?

I've not had a problem with 'One Power' not working - but for me it just does work the same as other devices.

Pressing ON switches the tv on, the stb on and then switches the tv to the correct input.

But sometimes pressing OFF I do not want the tv to switch off.  My other devices require a long press of OFF to switch off tv and stb, and a quick press of OFF only switches off the stb.

I can't access your photo link but I think I know what you're trying to show and I have used it myself - mine just works okay, with a Samsung TV.

Have you tried new batteries in the remote?

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!

It happens even if I change the batteries.

It could be something with the TV's HDMI control settings, HDMI handshaking can be funny sometimes, try turning it off or on depending on how it is currently set, depending on your TV it might have a scan for devices setting. what TV is it?

My TV is an LG TV. When I turn it off, it doesn't work until after a few months of the first point I find it not working (I think it happens after Tivo updates itself, but don't quote me on that as I'm not sure if that is it).

I have a LG TV and soundbar and the One Power turns them both off and on with no problems.

Simplink which is LG's HDMI control needs to be turned on.

If you have an LG Magic remote paired to the 360 on the the TV go to Settings, General, Devices, External Devices, Universal Control Setting, HDMI 1 Ziggo Set-Top and manage settings you can set the magic remote to power the 360 on and off. If you've got a Magic remote you can try that and see if it makes any difference to the HDMI control.

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums @damo_uk23, and welcome back!

Can you please confirm if you've been able to attempt the suggestion posted by @roy247 to see if this is an suitable workaround for you?

Kindest regards,
