On screen volume

Since upgrading to 360 I keep getting the volume display on screen every 15 seconds, I’ve tried resetting the box but no joy.  
has anyone got any idea how to stop this ?

Is the 360 only connected directly to the TV or are you using a soundbar or any other A/V equipment, sounds like you could be.

Assuming everything is correctly paired and the volume keys control is set to either the TV or soundbar then a bit more info about make and model of TV etc and how they are connected should get you more  informed answer.
