No recordings on my virgin 360 box

I’ve noticed over the last few days that none of my recordings are coming out, they are in the menu but they have a red exclamation mark after them and the only option I have is to delete, any help would be appreciated 

I have noticed a message saying too many recordings but I’m only recording 4 programmes and they are not on at the same time

Have you checked to see if your hard drive is full, when you look at your saved recordings you will see how full your drive is at the top left there is a percentage number, maybe you need to delete some recordings, unfortunately the 360 box may have recorded some series link programmes again if they have been repeated, this is after you may have watched and deleted them, this is due to not having the new option which the V6 box had.
