No power light on V6/360 box after a period of time on standby

Since upgrading to 360 on both of my V6 boxes, the box I use most (in the lounge) seems to lose its power light after a period of time left on standby (like you go out for the day or overnight).  I can get it back by rebooting or doing a factory reset (keeping my recordings) and it remains good whilst we’re watching tv but after a turn it off and goes from white to red, when I come back to the box some time later there is no light at all.   It didn’t do this before the upgrade.  This doesn’t seem to affect the operation of the box but is quite disconcerting as we’re still getting to used to the differences with operation of the 360 upgraded software.

Any tips out there as to how I can fix this issue?

Thank you

Interestingly a software update over night (to version 4.43) seems to have fixed my issue with my power/standby light.  Thank you to those that responded to my question but fingers crossed this problem has gone away.  🤞🤞

Sounds like a glitch, probably best to just ignore it

Thank you for your very insightful reply.  Not quite what I was hoping for.

Hi viczig,

If the box is set to eco start this may happen, try setting the box to fast start or active start.

Some other user's have reported similar problems with upgraded V6 boxes and then the problem with the light's has gone away, if the box is working as it should be I would ignore it for now unless it becomes a real pain.

Thank you Roy. I have the box set to active start now but i did try setting it to fast start for a while but it didn’t improve the extremely slow start up time so I returned it to active start. If it’ll go away with time I will wait a while and see what happens. Start up does seem to be much slower than my previous V6 setup.

Hi viczig,

My box is set to fast start and starts straight away so not sure why your box is slow to start unless you are switching off at the plug.

Maybe I should try the fast start setting again.  It was very soon after my upgrade (latter that day i think) and maybe there was still some latent upgrade activity happening.  I’ll give it another go.

My standby light is the same it doesn't work whether the box is on or off doesn't matter which start up setting
