New virgin 360 box ‘freezing’ have to reboot to fix

Hi ,

ive got to grips with my Virgin 360 box but over the last couple of days the screen is freezing while trying going through the menus to e.g looking at info on current program, looking at recording  . The sound is still playing but you can not get out of the screen you are on . I can see the box reacting to me pressing the remote but nothing happens on the tv . The only fix is is to reboot the box . This is not ideal . Had anybody have any ideas ? If the faulty ? The fault is intermittent.

This often happened on the V6 when the batteries needed changing.

Since a reboot hasn't helped, have you tried a factory reset? It's actually a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset.

To factory reset go to Settings (cog at end of Home menu) > System > Factory Reset. With the 360 you won't lose your recordings (but will have to sign into apps such as ITV Hub again)
